Victor Free Library
Check us out from home!
With OWWL ACCESS you are now able to search the holdings of the Victor Free Library or any of the other 41 libraries in the Pioneer Library System. You can review
your account, see what items you currently have checked out and each
due date. If items are overdue, a fine as of the day you are
searching will show. You can also see a list of the items you
have on Hold. You can change
your user PIN. When you were given your library card you assigned
a PIN. You can change it to any combination of letters and
numbers up to 10 characters if you wish. You can renew your materials twice if there are no holds on them. Videos and DVDs can only be renewed once.
All of this can be one from the library's home page.
Click on the OWWL ACCESS logo. This will take you to the
library's OWWL ACCESS page, click on the logo once again. You
will now see the search screen.
From this page you will be able to search the
Victor catalog or the entire Pioneer Library System. You can see
what's on current best seller lists, access award winning book lists or
visit recommended "Hot Sites" that change weekly.
From this page you can also do all of
the things described above. To do this you will need to login to iBistro by providing your User ID (library card) number and your PIN. This is done at the top right hand corner of the search screen. Then click on My Account.
Items can also be placed on Hold from this page. Once you have entered your User ID and PIN numbers search for the items you want. Click on Full Details
at the left side of the screen. Look at the information about the
item to make sure it is exactly what you want: correct author, book on
cassette vs book on CD, large print, video cassette vs DVD, etc.
Click on the little hand icon at the
right side of the screen labeled HOLD. Note the four
instructional points listed on the screen, these are important.
From the drop down menu select the library
where you will pick up the item. Double check to make sure the
window says the correct library. Your item will be sent to
whichever library name appears in the window. Then click on Place Hold.
The next screen will verify the Hold has been placed. Click on OK. If the HOLD cannot be placed you will be told why or if there is no explanation contact the library for assistance.
When the item is delivered to the library, usually
within a few days, you will get a telephone call or an email message
telling you it is available. Please pick up your hold promptly.
